I was reading a forum posted at Devpinoy.org and this thread came an idea to me to compare between PHP and other web programming languages and see the results of it. It seems to be great that PHP stands above. Please see screenshots below:

Well, the stats given were just only return number results of pages containing the given keyword. I hope that the future of PHP will be same as the results given above.

Thanks to http://googlefight.com/ !!! What a nice and cool website! :D

Won’t google fight turn up anything .php as a result for php, therefore there might be a little bias?

yeah, that’s right. As I said:

“Well, the stats given were just only return number results of pages containing the given keyword.”

I am a PHP developer and unfortunately the job market doesn’t agree: http://www.techtoolblog.com/archives/ruby-php-aspnet-job-comparison

I agree with Travis. Many tend to treat both PHP and MySQL as alternative products. However, I think PHP scripting experience is invaluable to web development. Hopefully we will see more of a push to PHP usage.

I am freelancer from mumbai and working on LAMP technology from last 4 years and I think PHP is the most easy to understand website development language.

Its newer versions are coming with tons of new libraries which makes it more and more powerful.

Thus php power is growing n growing n I am really happy with this technology.

I also have one tutorial for php. check it out : http://php-tuts.blogspot.com/
