Last night I was reading what I’d downloaded at download.com about SEO. As a webmaster, familiarity to this is somehow important and can be added to your resume/cvs (Familiarity with Search Engine Optimization). While reading it, I remember what Hobotraveler told me when I personally talked to him. I wanted to add it to what I’d read about SEO.

1. As much as possible all of the pages of website must have an extension filename of html or shtml for reason of having different meta keywords and description of each page. Definitely, each page have different contents. You can refer to http://inventory.overture.com/ or http://www.1-hit.com/all-in-one/php/tool.keywordsuggest.php for keywords suggestions and for naming html/shtml file. Filename should be related to the content of the page. And white space should replace underscore (_).

2. Loading of page is also important, not all people have patience in waiting for a certain page to load. Must refrain from using lots of images or if not optimize it using Image Editing Tools such as Adobe Photoshop. Use alt attribute from img tag for the description of the image.

3. Put a lot of words to each page. There were methods to it like writing articles and blogging.

4. Submit your site to http://www.google.com/addurl/?continue=/addurl or http://search.yahoo.com/info/submit.html. Take the advantages of it, it’s for free.
